Chiles Named UCLA Student-Athlete of Week, presented by Ready

Chiles scored a new career-best of 39.850 to win the all-around, as well as all four events, leading UCLA to a 197.900-195.325 win at Arizona. The 2020 Olympic and 2022 World Championship medalist scored a pair of 9.975s on vault and bars and 9.950 on both beam and floor. The 9.975 on vault and 9.950 on beam tied her career highs, and the 9.975 on bars tied her season best. Her scores helped UCLA tie their season-high on vault (49.400) and record its second-highest team score of the year (197.900). Chiles has scored no lower than 9.925 on bars this season, with four 9.975s, and ranks No. 1 in the nation on the event. She also ranks No. 2 in the all-around and No. 3 on vault and No. 5 on floor. Chiles has competed in the all-around in every meet this season and has scored 39.65 or higher in the all-around in all but one meet and in five in a row.
This is Chiles' first UCLA student-athlete of the week award of the season and second of her career.
