Jaquez Jr. Wins Record-Tying 10th Career UCLA Student-Athlete of Week Award

Jaquez Jr. averaged 20.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the Bruins' two NCAA Tournament wins last week in Sacramento. He shot 57.6 percent from the field and was 2-for-5 from beyond the 3-point arc. Jaquez Jr. scored 17 points and had eight rebounds in the Bruins' 33-point win against No. 15-seed UNC Asheville on Thursday night. Two days later, Jaquez Jr. tallied a team-high 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds in UCLA's 68-63 win against Northwestern in a second-round matchup. Jaquez Jr. continues to lead UCLA's team in scoring (17.5) and rebounding (8.1 rpg). UCLA's back-to-back wins allowed the men's basketball team to advance to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 for the third consecutive season.
This is Jaquez Jr.'s fifth UCLA student-athlete of the week award of the season, as well as his 10th career honor, tying gymnastics' Kyla Ross for the all-time UCLA record.
