    • Junior Courtney Dale (Fresno, CA/Bullard HS) of the softball team was selected the MET-Rx UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 31-Feb. 6.

    Dale was named the Most Valuable Player at the USF-Louisville Slugger Invitational and selected to the all-tournament team after hitting .471 with a double, home run and five RBI at the plate. She also pitched three games, earning a 3-0 record with a 0.74 ERA in 19 innings pitched and 25 strikeouts. Additionally, Dale pitched the first no-hitter of her career and the 60th in UCLA history in the season opener against Maryland.

    The Bruins went 6-0 on the weekend and won the tournament title.
