    • Freshman Onnie Willis (Tacoma, WA/Wilson HS) of the gymnastics team was selected the MET-Rx UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 16-21.

    Willis scored the first perfect 10 of her career in placing first and setting a new UCLA Invitational record on the vault. Willis' 10 also tied a school and Pauley Pavilion record and was just the fifth perfect mark on that event in school history. In addition, Willis tied a career-high and the meet record on floor with a 9.95 to finish in a tie for first place. Her all-around score of 39.2 was good for third place.

    Willis' 10.0 on vault contributed to the team's season-high score of 49.425 on that event and to the team's second-highest overall team score of the season, a 196.925. UCLA won the Invitational for an unprecedented ninth consecutive time.

    This is the second consecutive week a member of the gymnastics team has earned MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honors. Heidi Moneymaker was selected last week.
