    • Sophomore JaRon Rush (Kansas City, MO/Pembroke Hill HS) of the men?s basketball team was selected the MET-Rx UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 28-Mar. 5.

    Rush led the Bruins to a 94-93 overtime win over No. 1-ranked Stanford Mar. 4 at Maples Pavilion. In his first game back from a 24-game NCAA suspension, Rush scored a season and game-high 19 points (7-10 fgs, 3-5 3-pt fgs, 2-3 ft) with three rebounds, one assist and just one turnover in a season-best 26 minutes. In the overtime period, with 48 seconds left, Rush?s three-pointer pulled UCLA to within one, at 93-92. Then, with three seconds left to play, his 13-foot baseline jumper sealed the win for UCLA, 94-93.
