LOS ANGELES โ€“ Sophomore Selena Harris of UCLA Gymnastics has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, for the week of Mar. 11-17.
ย
Harris posted the second-highest all-around total in school history with a career-high score of 39.900, scoring two 10s and two 9.95s in UCLA's 198.550-196.825 win over Clemson. She started the meet with a perfect 10 on vault, her third this season and fourth of her career. On her second routine, she earned her first career perfect 10 on bars. Harris finished the meet with 9.95s on beam and floor, placing second and third, respectively; she received a total of five 10.0 scores out of a possible eight from the judges. The sophomore led UCLA to its third-highest team score ever and its highest mark in 20 years. The Bruins also earned season-best team totals on bars (49.625), beam (49.675, No. 4 mark in school history) and floor (49.775, No. 5 mark in school history). With five perfect 10s in under two years, she already ranks No. 10 all-time at UCLA for most career 10s.
