Harris Named Student-Athlete of the Week, Presented by Ready

LOS ANGELES โ Sophomore Selena Harris of UCLA Gymnastics has been selected as the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, for the second consecutive week.

Harris, who has secured her fifth career UCLA student-athlete of the week award (her third this season), won the all-around, vault and uneven bars titles at the Pac-12 Championships on Saturday, March 23, leading UCLA to its third-highest score of the season (197.875) and a second-place finish. Her second consecutive UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week honor covers the week of March 18-24.

Harris tied the Pac-12 Championships record with a 39.825 all-around score, matching fellow Bruin Kate Richardson, who set the record in 2003. On vault, Harris scored a 9.975 to claim first place, earning a 10 from two of the four judges. She tied for first place on uneven bars with a 9.950. Harris has totaled 28 individual wins this season, including eight all-around titles in 11 meets.
